The QT30CM Infrared Transmissive Photoelectric Sensor is a highly reliable infrared beam break detector ideal for a variety of automation and object detection projects. This pair of transmitter and receiver modules uses infrared light to detect the presence or interruption of objects between them — perfect for Arduino-based security systems, line counters, object sorting, or robotics applications.
Unlike reflective sensors, the transmissive (slot-type) design offers improved accuracy by only triggering when an object physically interrupts the beam between the emitter and detector. This makes it resistant to ambient light and suitable for precise control in industrial or DIY projects.
The sensor features built-in signal conditioning circuitry, providing clean digital output, and operates at 5V DC, making it fully compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and other 5V logic systems.
Key Features:
Transmissive (through-beam) infrared sensor pair
Detects object presence or beam interruption
Clean digital output signal for easy MCU integration
Reliable and fast response for real-time detection
Ideal for robotics, automation, object counting, and DIY electronics
Compact and durable design for embedded use
