The MP2307 is a monolithic synchronous buck regulator commonly found on small, adjustable step-down power supply modules. This compact and efficient module converts a higher input voltage to a lower, stable output voltage, making it suitable for a variety of electronic projects.

  • Module type: Non-isolated step-down (buck) converter with synchronous rectification.
  • Input voltage: Typically accepts a DC input voltage between 4.75V and 23V.
  • Adjustable output voltage: The output can be adjusted between 1.0V and 17V (some versions support up to 20V) using an on-board potentiometer. The output voltage must be less than the input voltage.
  • Output current: The rated continuous output current is typically 1.8A, with a maximum peak current of 3A. For sustained high currents, extra cooling may be required.

  • High switching frequency: The MP2307 operates at a fixed switching frequency of 340 kHz.

Note:
  • No short-circuit protection: Many MP2307 modules lack internal short-circuit protection, so it is crucial to avoid shorting the output.
  • No input reverse polarity protection: The input terminals do not have reverse polarity protection, and connecting them incorrectly can damage the module.
