The AD-366 0.8mm 50g tin solder wire is the standard, general-purpose “all-rounder” size for electronics. While 0.4mm wire is strictly for microscopic components, 0.8mm wire delivers a higher volume of solder per millimeter, making it the go-to choice for everyday circuit assembly and repair.

  • Mind the Solder Feed: Because it is twice as thick as 0.4mm wire, you only need to feed a tiny tap of wire into the joint. Pushing too much wire in will quickly create an oversized, globby joint.
  • Keep Heat to 2-3 Seconds: Touch the iron tip to the component leg and PCB pad together, tap the 0.8mm wire directly against the joint (not the iron tip), and pull both away within three seconds to prevent heat damage.
