    An 8mm L-type hose connector (also known as a 90-degree elbow fitting) is a hardware component used to join two sections of 8mm tubing at a right angle, changing the flow direction of liquids or gases without kinking the hose. These connectors are widely used across pneumatic systems, automotive lines, laboratory equipment, and low-pressure misting or irrigation setups.
    Depending on your specific project, these connectors are available in several primary materials and functional designs:
    1. Pneumatic Push-to-Connect Fittings (PV8 Series)
      • Application: Best for compressed air, automation, and vacuum systems.
      • Mechanism: Uses a quick-release collar; you simply push the 8mm polyurethane (PU) or nylon tube into the fitting to lock it without tools or clamps.
      • Pressure Rating: Typically handles demanding industrial pressures up to 1.0 to 1.3 MPa.

    2. Barbed Elbow Connectors
      • Application: Ideal for flexible rubber, silicone, or soft PVC tubing carrying fluids (fuel, oil, water, or chemical solutions).
      • Mechanism: Features ridges (barbs) that grip the inside of the hose. They require a hose clamp or crimp sleeve to ensure a completely leak-proof, high-pressure seal.
      • Materials:
          • Brass: High durability, excellent corrosion resistance, and handles high temperatures (common in automotive and mechanical uses).
          • Plastic (PE/Polypropylene): Lightweight, rust-proof, and highly chemically resistant, making them standard for laboratory, aquarium, and medical fluids.

      • Example: Laboratory configurations like the AANIJLAB Polypropylene 90° Elbow are built with ringed edges to prevent slippage during vacuum or fluid transfer.

    3. Threaded-to-Hose Elbows (PL8 Series)
    • Application: Used to connect an 8mm hose directly to a fixed machine port, valve, or manifold block.
    • Mechanism: One end is an 8mm push-in or barb, while the other features a male or female thread (such as 1/8″, 1/4″, or 3/8″ BSPT/NPT).
